Hotel du Vin Hotel du Vin

Hotel du Vin

Experience bistro dining at its best at Hotel du Vin with two courses for £20 or three courses for £25. The menu draws heavily on classic French cuisine (with a British twist), using locally-sourced ingredients where possible. Our choice would be the fillet of sea bass with pipérade, pesto and fennel.

Khai Khai

Available for the full week (except after 5pm on Friday and Saturday), the menu here takes inspiration from traditional Indian comfort food cooked using a combination of fire and smoke. The offering for restaurant week is generous and includes a pre-starter, a small plate and a larger heritage dish for £25 each. There’s plenty to choose from but we recommend the wonderfully rich old Delhi butter chicken.

I Scream For Pizza I Scream For Pizza

I Scream For Pizza

A lively and laidback spot with great views of the river, the pizza served here is absolutely delicious (and the wings aren’t half bad either). For Restaurant Week you’re spoiled for choice. For £15, you can enjoy a 14” pizza with a dip and either a milkshake, screamie, or sundae. The £20 offer will get you two 14” pizzas (and two dips) and for £25 you can enjoy one 20” pizza plus a garlic bread and four cans of pop – the perfect option for a get-together with friends.

Saltwater Fish Company

Tucked inside Fenwick Food Hall, this fresh fish bar is known for its quality and everything is cooked to order. Available weekdays during Restaurant Week, choose either two courses for £20 or three courses for £25. Delicious, comforting and great for sharing, we’d always recommend a helping of moules frites.

St Vincent

Lively and vibrant, this is a popular date night spot on Newcastle Quayside, and with good reason. The plates are designed for sharing (think arancini, flatbreads and more) and the drinks list is impressive too. Tuesday to Saturday of Restaurant Week, get two courses for £20 or three courses for £25.

Sushi Me Rollin’ Sushi Me Rollin’

Sushi Me Rollin’

Colourful, fresh and fun, this city-centre sushi joint takes a relaxed approach to its food and offers a good range of tipples too. Available every day except Saturday, this Restaurant Week enjoy one of their impressive sushi platters for only £25. The Sushi Me Rollin’ Starter Pack platter is a great way to try a bit of everything, and for seasoned sushi pros we’d recommend the Something Fishy platter.

Gaucho

Sleek and refined, this is a great place for steak in the city, and the wine list and menus are inspired by the flavours of Argentina. Available every day of Restaurant Week, choose three courses for only £25. Steak is the obvious choice, but the burger here is great too.
