Be inspired. This is a great opportunity to see all four seasonal embroideries of RHS Garden Harlow Carr, created by the Richmond & Leyburn Creative Stitchers. The scenes show tulips and muscari in spring, perennial planting in the main borders at high summer, the red, orange and gold of the acers in autumn and the vibrant red cornus stems set against striking silver birch trees in the winter walk.

The moving story of Giselle and her aristocratic but duplicitous lover Albrecht will be set to a sensational score and performed beautifully by Varna International Ballet. From the villagers happily gathering the harvest at the start of the story to the eerie moonlit forest haunted by drifting spirits, this ballet production is stunning from start to finish.

You won’t want to miss Opera North’s new season which brings three operas with memorable characters, compelling drama and incredible music to theatres across the North of England. The season opens in Leeds with Tosca, Puccini’s devastating take on passion and the abuse of power, before Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen offers a more playful exploration of love and loss. Completing the trio is Ariadne auf Naxos, Strauss’ mischievous look at what happens when tragedy and comedy collide on and off stage, with a new production set in a bustling 1950s film studio. With special ticket prices for anyone new to opera, this is the perfect chance to give it a try.

The show features a string of pop classics including Young Hearts Run Free, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and You’re So Vain. It’s set in the 1800s, it’s all about ruthless matchmaking, and it promises to be utterly hilarious.
