Offering cocktails for only £5 (when you present your wristband), 50 of the city's best bars are taking part in 2024's Newcastle Cocktail Week (27th September-6th October). Here's where you need to go.

Victors

A vibrant, Instagram-worthy spot with an Asian-inspired menu right on Newcastle Quayside, this is not one to miss. Their signature cocktail for the week is the Raspberry Beret, made with vodka, berry liqueur, prosecco, cranberry juice and apple juice.

Castro’s

Bringing the flavours of Cuba to the North East, it’s unsurprising that Castro’s is known for its impressive range of rum. Made with orange, pineapple and lime juice, plus grenadine, and white and dark rum, their signature Rum Punch will go down a treat.

Leila Lily’s

Leila Lily’s is pretty as a picture. There are three cocktails to enjoy for less during Cocktail Week including the Pear Caramel (a blend of pear, apples, lemon and caramel), the Butterfly Blue (an electric blue drink made with spiced rum and Malibu), and the Sweet Leila (with gin, lemonade and strawberries).

Contemporary design meets old school glamour in Dobson & Parnell on Newcastle Quayside. Known for its excellent food (earning it a spot in the Michelin Guide) the drinks menu is not to be overlooked and for Cocktail Week their signature drink is a chai espresso martini – the perfect autumn treat.

WC Newcastle

A hidden gem in Newcastle, this underground cocktail bar (formerly a public loo) was built in the 1800s and has a classic speakeasy vibe to it. For Cocktail Week, enjoy a Spring Blossom made with mandarin vodka, peach liqueur, vanilla and a shot of prosecco.
