Bringing People Together with The Platinum Jubilee Fund
As part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, community projects have been awarded special funds to help bring people together to celebrate the landmark occasion
In March, £4.5 million of National Lottery funding was awarded to communities across the UK to come together to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. This vital funding has been awarded from The Platinum Jubilee Fund, which was launched in November last year as a £3.5 million programme with grants available to 70 organisations (to mark Her Majesty’s 70 years of public service). An additional £1 million has also been made available to a further 21 community groups.
The fund has provided grants of up to £50,000 to impactful projects to enhance their vital and inspiring work, these six projects across the North East and Yorkshire have plans to use their money to transform the lives of their communities.
