Five Reasons to Visit Living North LIVE in York and Newcastle this Year
The North's leading lifestyle and shopping events return to Yorkshire and the North East in 2024!
Shop Small and Local
You’ll find an eclectic mix of independent designer makers and retailers from near and far bringing you the best in lifestyle. From inspirational interiors to original gifts and the finest food and drink, you’ll also find accessories to help you stand out from the crowd, discover handmade local products and enjoy meeting the talented designer makers behind them. Our renowned Food Halls also return and fabulous food producers will be on hand with a vast range of artisan produce.
Learn Something New
Take a seat in our interactive LIVE Lounge, and take time out with us to learn a new skill including dressing a spring woodland table, clay jewellery making, arranging a large vase of spring florals, weaving a willow basket, bath bomb making, natural candle making and facial yoga. You’ll be inspired by the experts with plenty of fun to be had and new skills to discover.
Meet the Chefs
Our Chef Demonstration Kitchen returns to showcase some of your favourite chefs from across the region who will share their top tips and tricks to help you shine in your own kitchen. Meet Steph Moon, Stephen Andrews (owner of Fish and Forest), and Jon Appleby from The Feversham Arms in York, and join the wine tasting session courtesy of Hotel Du Vin in Newcastle. Simmer Kitchen’s Al Roberto, the team from The Italian Wine Shop, Thomas Robertson from The Coniston and Spaghetti Junction’s Alessandro Venturi will be joining us at both spring fairs!
Make a Day of It
When you need to take a break from all that shopping and fun, head to the hugely popular Living North Garden Bar where you can relax, unwind and enjoy a locally-made tipple or two, and be entertained with live music throughout the day, which includes appearances from the ever popular Rock Choir.
Support a Good Cause
At our York spring fair we’re proud to be supporting Maggie's Yorkshire, who provide free cancer support and information from their centre in Leeds. Their centre is a safe place of support for anyone affected by cancer and their psychologists, support specialists and benefits advisors are all available for support throughout diagnosis, treatment and after treatment. In Newcastle, we’re proud to be supporting the Red Sky Foundation, which raises vital funds for babies, children and adults who are born with or develop heart conditions and who are in need of cardiac care, by providing lifelong support to them and their families. Visit their individual stalls to learn more about their vital work in our region and to show your support.
