Here are the new openings you won't want to miss.
Mojo Royal Treat

THE SPICE OF LIFE
New to Leeds’ diverse culinary scene, Mojo Royal Treat has recently opened its doors in Roundhay, inspired by the dazzling cuisine of the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. Menu items include Karwari prawns, masala dishes and fabulous biryanis (which the area is famous for).

Jöro

NEW DIGS
Sheffield’s Japanese-Nordic fusion fine-dining restaurant Jöro has finally relocated to its new home just outside the city at Oughtibridge Mill. The new site now incorporates luxurious boutique rooms, alongside a dining terrace, outdoor kitchen concept and deli shop.

Black Wheat Club

PAINT IT BLACK
Something brand new is getting ready to launch on York’s Fossgate – still shrouded in mystery, the Black Wheat Club will be welcoming its first diners in early 2025. Touted as a bistro-cum-bakery it will join Fossgate’s already impressive collection of eateries, cafés and bars.

Kapital

CHEERS TO THAT
Set to open in early 2025, Kapital is the new Euro-inspired restaurant and beer hall coming to the heart of Sheffield – ideal for after work drinks or get-togethers with friends. Comfort food, great pints, and as part of the new opening, the team are also offering free beer to those who sign up for early access online – we can’t wait!

Lockup

LOCK IN
Something new is coming to Ouseburn very soon: Lockup is the brand new food and drink venue we can’t wait to visit. Self-described as a ‘common ground for food and drink’ the exterior of the building suggests a strong industrial vibe and we’re excited to see just which vendors are heading to the new site.

Seafood and Steak Co

SURF & TURF
The weather may still be cold but we’ll never say no to seafood at the coast – especially when it’s this good. Recently opened at Seaham, Seafood and Steak Co offer a truly indulgent evening menu filled with options like seafood linguine, lobster Thermidor and (of course) steak. If you’re stopping by for lunch we recommend the soft shell crab on sourdough with homemade tartare sauce and pickle chips.

Grinder Coffee

SOMETHING BREW
After building up a loyal following on Sunderland’s New Durham Road, Grinder Coffee have recently taken the leap to expand to even bigger premises right next door. A bigger home means an extended menu, and there’s now plenty of space for customers to sit in too.

Knoops

NEW ARRIVAL
Calling all chocolate lovers, luxury hot chocolate brand Knoops has finally landed in Newcastle! Beside Grey’s Monument, Knoops lets you make hot chocolate the way you like it, with flakes starting at 28 percent white chocolate and going all the way to 100 percent extra dark.

Baker in the Bay

PIECE OF CAKE
Head to Whitley Bay to visit Baker in the Bay, a new, independent bakery on Whitley Road which creates delicious fresh bakes daily. Whether you’re picking up a fresh loaf for the week, stopping by for something sweet or just seeking lunch time inspiration, it’s definitely worth a look.
