Greggs and Primark Have Opened a Tasty by Greggs Café in Newcastle (and it's Very Instagrammable)
The 114 seat Tasty by Greggs Café opened its doors in Primark's Northumberland Street store in Newcastle
Aside from the quirky (and iconic) sausage roll swing, the café boasts vibrant and colourful interiors, making it an Instagrammer’s dream. A particular highlight was the interactive Greggs phone box where customers can play games such as ‘Match the Pairs’ where you have to match pairs of Greggs food and Newcastle landmarks in 60 seconds.
On the menu you can expect to find all of your Greggs classics including sausage rolls, bakes, sweet treats and freshly ground Fairtrade coffee. The new shop also offers sharing-size boxes of pizzas, iced lattes, and of course their famous stotties.

If you didn’t want to sit in the café they also have the option to grab and go can to skip the queues via Greggs Click + Collect using the Greggs App.
Tony Rowson, Property Director at Greggs, says: ‘Following the success of our first two ‘Tasty by Greggs’ cafés in Birmingham and London last year, the opening of our third café in Newcastle, the home of Greggs, marks another milestone moment for us as we continue to focus our efforts on new on-the-go locations where people work, shop and travel.’
