DINE LIKE A ROYAL
Join Fenwick at Arthur’s on 5th May to mark His Majesty King Charles III's Coronation. A moment to remember, the team will be providing the royal treatment on the night with spectacular food, plenty of bubbles and exceptional live entertainment. The decadent three-course menu has been specially designed for the Coronation, featuring dishes such as curried lamb pie, followed by strawberry and ginger trifle. The King's favourite flavours are also included in the welcome drink, a Mint Julep with a whisky base. Reinventing the traditional brass band format with a 21st-century spin, Backstage Brass will be bringing a funky and beat-driven arrangement of classic and modern tunes.
CELEBRATE AT THE BIG LUNCH
The Big Lunch is the UK's annual celebration for neighbours and communities – a time when people come together to share friendship food and fun. This year, Metrocentre are inviting people to join the Coronation celebrations with a Coronation Big Lunch. On Sunday 7th May head to Exhibition Square and you'll be joining millions of others across the UK getting together to celebrate. Meet the Metrognomes as they celebrate the King’s Coronation with all their friends, bring your packed lunch full of goodies to enjoy while you are entertained by the Bouncing Busby, play Street Party games, colour in your very own crown and even have your face painted! There is a £2 donation per person to attend which will support Gateshead Food Bank (minus booking fee).

TAKE A TRIP TO THE COAST
A bank holiday in Newcastle is not complete without a trip to the coast and the upcoming Coronation will hopefully bring us some sunny weather. Newcastle is just a short distance from some of the UK's most beautiful coastline. Why not take a day trip to the seaside and enjoy a walk along the beach, a paddle in the sea, or even try your hand at surfing?
