February half term is here!

Here's how to keep the kids busy across the North East and Yorkshire.

See a Show

Based on the multi-million copy selling book by Rachel Bright and Jim Field, your kids will love the brand-new stage adaptation of The Koala Who Could when it comes to Northern Stage in Newcastle from 25th February–2nd March. A universal story about embracing change, your child will meet Kevin the koala (and his friends the wombats and kangaroos) and learn that ‘life can be great when you try something new!’

Play Time

Yorkshire Games Festival is bringing fun activities, workshops and experiences to Bradford’s National Science and Media Museum until 23rd February, where your children will experience unique video games, watch gaming-related films and try out new and exciting board games.

Go Exploring

Let your kids run wild at The Plotters’ Forest’s Little Astronomers Trail at Raby Castle this half term. Until 2nd March, they can wander the winding paths of the Christmas tree plantation, discovering space-themed clues and facts. If they find the hidden stars, they can collect letters to unscramble to reveal a mystery word.

A Kind of Magic

Magic shows, wand crafting, a family quest – it’s all happening at William’s Den until 23rd February. Once they’ve mastered their new magic tricks, your kids can explore the endless play areas here, both indoors and outdoors.

Story Time

There’s plenty for your children to get involved in at Lilidorei this half term (and until 6th March), from using their imagination to complete the story of The Brave Little Lilidorian to exploring the village and peeking inside the clan houses. They can burn some energy by playing on the tallest play structure in the world, take part in themed crafts, try a clan muffin, and listen to a story by the Secret Keepers.

I Spy

Fancy becoming a spy? Until 23rd February, visitors can take part in interactive spy themed activities and Eden Camp to help with the war effort. They’ll break codes, learn how to write secret messages using invisible ink, and design their very own spy plane.
