Make Harrogate your Christmas Destination for 2022
Make sure this Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year with a festive visit to the Harrogate district
All new for 2022 is an outdoor ice skating rink, with an après ski bar offering seasonal treats and refreshments and a giant 32m ferris wheel offering spectacular views of the surrounding area. At Crescent Gardens, transformed into a Winter Wonderland, you will find a traditional carousel, together with children’s fairground rides.
From 2nd–11th December take in the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional Christmas market with the Harrogate Christmas Fayre. A range of traditional wooden chalets will line the streets in the heart of Harrogate town centre offering a selection of delicious festive food and drink, unique gifts and homemade goodies. With live entertainment planned throughout, the Harrogate Christmas Fayre is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit. Open Monday–Saturday 10am–7pm, and Sunday 10.30am–4.30pm.
In town on 3rd, 4th and 10th, 11th December the Little Bird Made artisan market takes over Valley Gardens in Harrogate with an amazing line-up of traders and makers from across the region and beyond.
For those who are bringing the family you will find fun, adventure and magical experiences as well as opportunities to meet Father Christmas himself from the beginning of November, all the way through to New Year’s Day.
The traditional Pantomime runs throughout the festive season in Harrogate Theatre (oh yes it does!), you can stop in to see Santa at The Father Christmas Experience at Cedar Court Hotel, Harrogate, and even take part in an Elf Workshop or post the big man a letter from the North Pole Post Office on Cheltenham Parade.
Head to RHS Garden Harlow Carr to see how it glows from 17th November and experience a magical evening for all the family as you follow their GLOW trail.
Take a trip to Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal in Ripon and see the abbey in a different light as the ruins are bathed in colourful lights alongside festive music from 19th November.
