An Extra Good Night with Yotam Ottolenghi and Noor Murad
27th September, Tyne Theatre & Opera House
Renowned chefs Yotam Ottolenghi and Noor Murad are bringing their brand new, interactive cooking show to Newcastle this September. Live on stage, they will take you through the latest Ottolenghi cookbook, Extra Good Things, and the ways in which everyday ingredients can be transformed into dishes with oomph. You’ll get the chance to learn how to ‘Ottolenghify’ your meals and the opportunity to ask the experts for their tips and tricks.
Simply Served
At the rear of The Cookie Jar, a cosy retreat in the heart of Alnwick, you’ll find The Bistro restaurant which serves simple and locally-sourced food. Welcoming both residents and guests each evening from 6pm, expect dishes such as oven roasted lamb rump, miso marinated hake and butternut squash gnocchi. Afternoon tea is also a favourite here, served with a selection of British loose teas or fizz if you’re wanting to celebrate, and the tiered stands are filled with a range of delicate sandwiches, tarts, homemade scones and a number of cakes and sweat treats. cookiejaralnwick.com
