How did the bride and groom meet?
They met through mutual friends eight years ago.
How did he propose?
Shane proposed on Valentine's Day in 2016 at home after cooking April a three-course meal. He had decorated the house with flowers, balloons and rose petals.
Where was the service and reception held?
Both the service and reception were at Walworth Castle, Darlington. The weather was gorgeous so the ceremony was outside on Lady Palmer's Pavillion.
Where was the wedding gown from? And the bridesmaids’ dresses?
The gown was from The Bridal Lounge, Northallerton, and the bridesmaids' dresses were from Quiz.
Where were the suits from?
All the suits were from Moss Bros, Newcastle
Where did they source the cake from?
The cake was made by Truly Scrumptious, Bishop Aukland.
What did they eat?
Duck liver pate with spiced apple puree for starters, before a tenderloin of pork wrapped in bacon alongside fondant potatoes and seasonal vegetables for mains. For pudding, guests were served chocolate fudge cake with ice cream.
