This terraced period property combines stylish decor with characterful charm

Heron House is a charming Victorian holiday home available to rent in the heart of Alnwick, which can accommodate up to four guests (plus one dog!).

The entrance porch has space for coats and shoes and leads into the hallway. In the cosy lounge, there is a gorgeous decorative fireplace and a Smart TV with access to Netflix. The kitchen is modern and bright, fitted with all the amenities you’ll need on your holiday. Two Velux windows in the roof provide plenty of light over the breakfast bar, and there is a Delonghi coffee machine compatible with Nespresso pods. The dining room has a dining table which seats four, and plenty of books and games in the cupboard to keep you entertained. The utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer and has an external door which leads to the lane at the rear of the property. There is also an adjacent WC with wash basin.

Upstairs, there are two stylish, spacious bedrooms, both of which feature king-size beds. There is also a family bathroom on this floor, featuring a bath with rainfall shower. Soft towels and Bath House-branded toiletries are provided.

Outside, there is a courtyard garden at the front of the house with patio furniture, ideal for al fresco holiday dining. It is surrounded by mature shrubs for privacy. Although the property doesn’t provide private parking, there is street parking available.

Alnwick is a thriving market town, with many amenities and local attractions within easy reach. Both the historic Alnwick Castle and beautiful Alnwick Garden are within walking distance. Next to The Alnwick Garden you’ll also find Lilidorei, the world’s largest play structure, which is perfect for kids. The town has excellent restaurants and pubs, and notable independent bookshop Barter Books is just a short walk away.
