Take a Look Inside this Idyllic Stone Cottage in the Tyne Valley
Briar Cottage is packed with original features and surrounded by views of the Northumbrian countryside in the lovely village of Newton (rest assured, there is a pub)
In the small village of Newton, Briar Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage. The driveway is located to the front of property and, from the side, the front door opens into the entrance hall.
There are two sitting rooms on the ground floor. They both have wood-burning stoves set in stone hearths, and exposed beams across the ceiling. The larger of the two is at the centre of the ground floor, and has double French doors that open out onto the garden.
The kitchen has a door onto the back garden too, and has contemporary fixtures and fittings set against original exposed stone walls. The ground floor also has a small bedroom with an adjoining WC. The store room is part of the ground floor building, but is only accessible from the outside.
Upstairs there is a bathroom with a tub and shower and two large bedrooms. The primary bedroom has two fitted wardrobes and a particularly good view across the Tyne Valley.
At the back of the property, the garden has a patio terrace and views across the surrounding countryside.
