This is a lasagne for when you have a little spare time to get the tunes on, don your apron and cook up a storm. It makes enough for a good meal with leftovers for the next day. For a vegan-friendly version, replace the butter, milk, cheddar and parmesan with plant-based alternatives.
This easy baked trout recipe always goes down a storm in our house! Keeping the fish whole means that it retains its moisture and that it cooks to perfection. Prep the trout in advance as it needs to sit in the fridge for a couple of hours.
This is a lovely, warming pie for autumn. Keep everything nice and chunky below the crisp top, or you risk ending up with vegetable mush. This will also work beautifully with carrots, parsnips or a swede – any dense root vegetable or a different squash would be equally delicious.
