Visit Disneyland with easyJet for the Most Magical Holiday
So much more than just a theme park, Disneyland Paris is truly the happiest place on earth, home to fantastic hotels, excellent dining, and a whole lot of fun
Despite first impressions of whirling teacups and cult favourite It’s A Small World, the park isn’t just for kids – big thrill rides include the infamous Tower of Terror in Disney Studios, an elevator shaft in an abandoned hotel which climbs high for spectacular views across the park before plummeting down into the hotel’s depths. The newly-renovated Avengers Campus is a Marvel fan’s dream, with the Avengers Assemble: Flight Force ride catapulting you into the stratosphere. Star Wars fanatics can visit the planet Endor on Discoveryland’s Star Tours ride or rebel against the Empire on Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain. In Frontierland, pull on your cowboy boots and ride Big Thunder Mountain or enter Phantom Manor – if you dare!
Disneyland Resort has more than 50 themed restaurants serving every type of cuisine. Shrink down to the size of a rat and enjoy fine French cuisine at Bistrot Chez Rémy, watch the Pirates of the Caribbean ride sail by your table on a torch-lit lagoon at Captain Jack’s, or dine from a buffet of comically-sized food at PYM Kitchen. In Disney Village, just outside the park, a jungle of moving animals awaits at the Rainforest Café. Guests can experience the golden age of ‘50s rock’n’roll with American classics at Annette’s Diner. But fine dining isn’t forgotten here either – share caviar and charcuterie accompanied by expertly-crafted cocktails (or mocktails for the kids) in the Fleur de Lys bar, with views of Fantasia Gardens. Or, go for character fine dining with a French three-course meal amongst princesses and princes at La Table de Lumière. The twinkling chandeliers and rose-adorned tables are inspired by the royal Palace of Versailles and the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast. For a quick bite, nothing beats Mickey-shaped snacks – the pizzas from Pizzeria Bella Notte and the chocolate-filled beignets from Cookie Kitchen are our top picks.
Shopping is another must on a trip to Disneyland, with cute boutiques lining Main Street offering everything from fine china to clothing and we guarantee you won’t be able to resist a souvenir or two.
The fabulous parades are worth bagging a front-row view for, as Disney stories come to life and characters wave from a series of seriously impressive themed floats. At the end of the day, gather round to watch the dazzling firework show illuminate the castle’s silhouette against the night sky, with a soundtrack of Disney’s most-loved songs. You can even enjoy a glass of fizz from the Champagne Cart, served in a castle-printed flute that you can take home.
Stay at the fabulous Dream Castle Paris, with its free shuttle to the parks that takes just eight minutes. The chateau-inspired hotel is set amongst manicured French gardens that transport you straight into your own fairytale from the moment you arrive. The Dragon Lagoon heated indoor pool and jacuzzi are an oasis of calm to unwind, and top-notch treatments are available at the spa for those in need of TLC. The Grand Magic Hotel is another excellent option just 10 minutes from Disneyland Resort and also with a complimentary shuttle service. The whimsical decor complete with interactive wall animations in the lobby will wow children, and the bedrooms are starlight-themed. Grand Magic also has an indoor pool and arcade games room.
