Leila’s Kitchen

Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just coffee and a piece of cake, Leila’s Kitchen in Hebden Bridge is full of vegan delights – all inspired by the flavours of Persian cuisine. Think smoked grilled aubergine, vine leaves stuffed with herbs and rice, and Moroccan vegetable tagine.

Döner Summer

Keeping things fresh and fun, this Leeds-based restaurant prove that vegans can enjoy a good burger too, with a range of great toppings to choose from, as well as sides like Korean tofu bites, barbecue beans, and panko onion rings. They have fried ‘chicken’ here as well, and fresh kebabs packed full of veggies.

Blissful Pig Vegan Bakery

A hidden vegan gem in Northumberland, this is a great spot for a guilt-free sweet fix. Baking everything from brownies and blondies to cakes and cupcakes, it’s all 100 percent vegan and cruelty free, and the flavours are always changing too.

V-Edge

Who said eating vegan can’t be fun? This vibrant restaurant and bar in the heart of Middlesbrough began in 2021 as part of a dream to bring a lively vegan hangout to the town. Fast forward to 2024 and you can enjoy everything from towering pancake stacks and smash burgers to a great range of cocktails (and a parmo or two for good measure) here.
122 Linthorpe Road TS1 2JR

Veganatomy

Putting a spin on classic sushi joints, Veganatomy on Heaton’s Chillingham Road is an independently-owned takeout spot specialising in vegan sushi and bánh mi. The dragon rolls are really good (and we can never say no to marinated oyster mushrooms).
