Why You Must Visit Living North's Christmas Fair at York Racecourse
There's just one week to go until we open the doors to Living North's Christmas Fair 2023 at York Racecourse
1. The best place to find the perfect presents…
With more than 250 carefully-selected stands, from artisan designer-makers, local food producers and fashion retailers to homewares, gifts and accessories, and of course special Christmas decorations, Living North’s Christmas Fair is the biggest and best seasonal shopping event in the North. From unique laser-cut gifts and homeware from All Mapped Out and wooden accessories from Bear Essentials to must-have bags from Bergs, tweed jackets and cashmere from favourite Tweedleberry, and gifts from Rachel’s Handmade with Love, there’s so much to see.
2. Food, glorious food…
The fantastic food producers at Living North’s Christmas Fair bring a huge range of artisan treats from cake, chocolates and puds to local chutneys, preserves and cheeses – there’s something for everyone to stock up their festive pantry. Don’t miss the award-winning deliciously sticky Christmas puddings from Burtree Puddings.
3. Learn from the experts…
Our hugely popular Chef’s Demo Kitchen is also back in action for 2023 and we are looking forward to welcoming our long-time favourites alongside outstanding talent from some of Yorkshire’s best chefs including Steph Moon, Callum Leslie from The Black Swan at Oldstead, Neil Bentinck from Skosh, and Ahmed Abdalla from The Grand, York. Read more about the chefs you’ll meet at the Fair here.
4. Live music…
To add to the Christmas cheer, live performances from local choirs and musicians will be the soundtrack to your shopping experience so gather all your friends and family and soak up the festive atmosphere.
5. You’ll be supporting a fantastic cause…
Our chosen charity for this year’s Christmas Fair in York is the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which operates two state-of-the-art helicopters which fly to those who are critically injured and require urgent medical attention across the county. At the Fair you can find out more about what they do and help support them and their vital work.
