Created in the quaint Lake District village of Grasmere by pioneering businesswoman Sarah Nelson in 1854, Grasmere Gingerbread has become known for its unique texture and classic sweet and spicy blend, and Grasmere is now a must-visit destination for any foodie.
Today, the business is celebrating 170 years and is run by third-generation owners Joanne and Andrew Hunter. Their range of sweet treats sold has expanded considerably – but don’t worry, the gingerbread has kept its same great taste and is made to the traditional recipe.
The prize is a Grasmere Gingerbread Lake District Heritage Hamper which includes a 12-piece presentation box of Grasmere Gingerbread as well as other local products.
