Win a Luxurious Day Retreat for Two at the New Forest Spa at Middleton Lodge

Sitting peacefully on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales is Middleton Lodge, the 200-acre estate which has been lovingly restored by the Allison family over the past 20 years. A place inspired by nature, somewhere to eat, gather and pause, there is something very special about Middleton Lodge. In June the estate opened its Forest Spa, a unique relaxation experience designed to connect residents to nature.

At the heart of the Forest Spa is a large heated outdoor pool, surrounded by the pool house and thermal spa. There are loungers carefully placed for relaxation and bathing near here too. The pool house has a large log-burning stove at its heart with views of the pool. The thermal spa has a sauna with a window overlooking the estate’s parkland and woodland, a tadelakt steam room, an arch stone plunge pool, and a relaxation zone complete with fireplace and pool views.

For handpicked rituals and massages from VOYA and Aromatherapy Associates, six private treatment huts have been built. Medicinal herbs have been planted amongst the ancient woodland and stepping stones guide you to each hut. Two of the huts are bathing huts, with tin bathtubs and wood-burning stoves. 

As well as the new Forest Spa, you’ll find two award-winning restaurants at Middleton Lodge. First is the estate-to-plate inspired relaxed Coach House – which in the summer months opens an outside courtyard area, planted with lavender and trailing greenery. And second is Forge, a restaurant that brings a unique fine-dining experience to the estate.

There are also 59 bedrooms entwined in the original buildings here, creating a village-like feel, or you can choose to stay in one of the two self-catered cottages or even Shepherd’s huts.
