The Luna Cinema is back with a whole new programme of classic Christmas and New Year film screenings in magical settings, and we're offering one lucky Living North reader the chance to see Elf on the big screen at the stunning St Saviourgate York
The Luna Cinema’s 2023 winter line-up includes five indoor festive screenings at the most wonderful time of the year. Audiences can expect all the festive classics, including Elf and Love Actually – both of which are celebrating 20 years since their release – as well as family favourites Home Alone, The Grinch and Frozen.
Film fans in York can enjoy their favourite festive movies at the historic St Saviourgate, with its stunning lighting, festive dressing, a magical sprinkling of snow and giant Christmas trees, and there’ll be a great selection of refreshments available from a warming hot chocolate to a mug of mulled wine.
After finding out he’s human, adopted elf Buddy heads to New York – where everyone he meets is lacking festivity. Each year Will Ferrell reminds us all that Christmas is not just for kids and the best way to spread Christmas cheer is… singing loud for all to hear! Arguably one of the most popular Christmas films, Elf will be showing in York on Sunday 3rd, Wednesday 6th and Monday 11th December.
