Drawing on her heritage, Sofia Barton uses her artwork to pay homage to the North East in glorious technicolour
Living North has teamed up with artist Sofia Barton to offer one lucky Living North reader the chance to win a signed print of her Hyem Sweet Hyem Matchbox artwork.
Originally from Newcastle, Sofia’s artwork features some of the North East’s most iconic landmarks including Whitley Bay’s Spanish City, Tynemouth, the Tyne Bridge and Grey’s Monument. Drawing on her Pakistani heritage, each piece is a technicolour daydream.
As well as a regular stall at Tynemouth Market, you can also spot her mural work further afield including at Baltic, in Stockton and on the new Metros. The prize is a signed neon Newcastle Hyem Sweet Hyem Matchbox print (A3).
