The stunning 18th-century Grade-II listed Wynyard Hall is set in a private 400-acre estate, and the cosy self-catering cottages are surrounded by vast private parkland. The Woodlands is quintessentially English, with five ensuite luxury bedrooms, elegant living spaces, and two private hot tubs. Stocked with board games and all the amenities you could want, an evening spent by the fire here with friends is truly a special one – it’s even dog friendly!
Stroll through the rose garden, one of the largest in Britain, to see more than 3,000 David Austen roses, highlighted by careful planting and ornate water features. Or explore further afield on the woodland walk, which has 18 different tree species.
Dinner is certainly an experience to savour. The Glass House restaurant, tucked away in the kitchen garden, is housed in a Victorian glasshouse where the focus is on home-grown produce taken straight from the garden paired with the best produce from local suppliers. The menus are simple, seasonal and all-round delicious.

Entrants must be 18 or over. The cottage can sleep up to 12 guests, with sofa beds used to accommodate the additional guests. Some rooms are double, and others are twin rooms. Dinner for two guests only. Additional guests must pay for their meals. Valid for stays Wednesday to Saturday only. Sunday dinner is not included. The prize cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative or any other Wynyard Hall experience. The winner must provide all booking information directly to Wynyard Hall. Cottage stay is subject to availability. Must be redeemed by 30th December 2025. The prize cannot be used on bank holidays. The Glass House dinner will consist of a three-course set menu.
