Win Two Tickets to BBC Proms at Sage Gateshead

In addition to being an architectural landmark in the North East, Sage Gateshead is a home for world-class music of all types. The building’s design includes ‘acoustic gaps’ separating each of the three main halls, enabling audiences to enjoy music in whichever space they’re in without being distracted by live events in one of the other halls.

The venue is also a base for the region’s acclaimed orchestra, Royal Northern Sinfonia, which has built a worldwide reputation for the North East through the quality of its music-making and the immediacy of the connections the musicians make with audiences.

On July 22nd, Royal Northern Sinfonia will demonstrate this as they take centre stage at Sage Gateshead in a passionate Prom broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. The tempestuous programme conducted by Dinis Sousa, stars one of today's most exciting pianists, Kristian Bezuidenhout, and will witness a battle between light and dark with favourites from Johannes Brahms, Mozart and Grammy-nominated Missy Mazzoli.

We’re delighted to be giving away two tickets to the performance, as well as an overnight stay at Hotel du Vin that evening and breakfast the next day. Based on Newcastle’s quayside, Hotel du Vin offers a boutique hotel experience in a magnificently refurbished Edwardian building and is the perfect way to end a wonderful night at the Proms.
